Primož Ferjan 5th, Matjaž Ceraj 7th in Hamburg

Hamburg hosted European Cup where Gill Sports Athletes Primož Ferjan and Matjaž Ceraj performed satisfactorily and showed they are constantly improving and reaching good shape before next set of World Cups, Grand Slams and Grand Prix, and of course World Championships in Tokyo.

Ferjan (-100 kg) reached semi-finals relatively easily but didn't manage to win against Swede Pacek and Slovak Palkovach.  Consequently he finished 5th, but can be satisfied with the performance which showed him few weak points to focus on in the next few weeks.

Ceraj (+100 kg) defeated Spaniard Cansek and the local fighter, but couldn't pass the 3rd round obstacle, another German Andreas Toelzer. In a strong repecharge performance, he was better than the current European Champion Makarau from Belarus. Unfortunately, he lost the next fight and concluded the tournament on the 7th place. Indeed, he showed he is one of the serious candidates to perform at the World Championships in September.

G SPORTNIK, MARIJANOVIĆ, OSVOJIL GRAND PRIX!!!

Najboljši Hrvaški judoist, Tomislav Marijanović (Gill Sports Športnik), je v znamenitem Rio de Janeiru v kategoriji do 81 kg osvojil Grand Prix.

Žreb mu ni bil najbolj naklonjen, vendar je odličen borec premagal vse ovire in osvojil zlato.
